In the latest 'NFL Buzz' article from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was mentioned.
In this weekly article, Fowler and Graziano empty their notebooks and share the latest intel that they are hearing from around the NFL.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFowler was discussing the Minnesota Vikings' quarterback situation with the current uncertainty around JJ McCarthy. Two names he mentioned were San Francisco's Mac Jones and Houston's Davis Mills -- both of whom are under contract with their respective teams through 2026.
Fowler then pivoted and brought up Richardson.
"O'Connell also has respect for Richardson, who could be the next reclamation QB to thrive elsewhere," Fowler wrote. "Richardson has interest in playing for a coach from the Sean McVay tree, either the man himself or a disciple like O'Connell."
Nothing said here is groundbreaking, but it is another reminder that Richardson's tenure with the Colts is likely getting closer to the end.

Richardson is still under contract for the 2026 season, not to mention that he has a fifth-year option for the 2027 season available as well.
The Colts could hang on to Richardson to continue backing up Jones, or they could trade him and get some draft capital in return.
