The Philadelphia Phillies come into the offseason with a ton of questions and holes they need to fill. Much of their attention will be on retaining one of their team leaders, Kyle Schwarber, but they also need to address their problems in the outfield and potentially the starting rotation.

They are also at risk of losing their catcher, J.T. Realmuto, as he is also a free agent. So, expect this club to be plenty busy over the winter months.

While much of the attention is on the open market, the trade market has been booming as of late. Maybe the Phillies could address some of their needs here, especially with some of the talent that has been rumored to be trade chips this offseason.

Acquiring an outfielder will be a big focus for the club this offseason. Harrison Bader is a free agent, along with Max Kepler, and they are expected to part ways with Nick Castellanos ahead of the 2026 season.

One avenue they could explore is to trade with the Boston Red Sox and acquire Jarren Duran, but it would cost them. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Lochlahn March believes the Phillies would have to part ways with their No. 2 prospect, Aidan Miller.

"Boston already has a logjam in its outfield, and top outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia is near-MLB ready. That makes the Red Sox logical trade partners for the Phillies, who need outfield help."

Their No. 2 prospect would be a high price to pay, but the club's window is closing, and they need help right now. While Miller is expected to get MLB opportunities in 2026, he may not be polished enough for the club to keep, and Duran is, and has three years left of team control.
