Golesh, who signed a six-year, $15.3 million contract with USF back in 2022, will reportedly be named the next head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks, according to a report from Trey Schaap of 103.7 The Buzz in Arkansas.
“SOURCES: @CoachGolesh has accepted an offer to be the next Head Coach of @RazorbackFB,” Schapp tweeted on Wednesday morning.
While nothing has been made official as of yet, a statement from South Florida CEO of athletics Rob Higgins seems to indicate that Golesh, who's led USF to a 22-15 record in three seasons, will soon be departing the program.

“Since Saturday’s game, coach Golesh has been presented with outside opportunities that he has been transparent about with us,” Higgins wrote on X. “We are respectful and supportive of coach and his family in their decision making process.
“We’ll remain in constant communication. Bulls Nation, rest assured, we are ultra prepared for every scenario that could unfold in the coming hours/days.”
Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, Memphis’ Ryan Silverfield, former North Western head coach Pat Fitzgerlad, and Eric Morris, formerly of North Texas and newly named Oklahoma State head coach, were also in the mix.
According to 247Sports, it’s believed Wommack was Arkansas’ second choice had Golesh turned the offer down.
The Razorbacks have lost nine straight games since starting the season 2-0. They close out the year with a Rivalry Week matchup against Missouri this weekend.
