The Washington Commanders are getting ready to face off against the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 13.

It hasn't been an easy couple of months for the Commanders, as the team has been ravaged by injuries and is now essentially eliminated from playoff contention. However, fans did get something to smile about on Wednesday.

During the team's practice session, star quarterback Jayden Daniels was back on the field, throwing for the first time. Daniels has dealt with several injuries this year, but the most recent has kept him sidelined since the beginning of November.

Daniels was never placed on injured reserve, though, and earlier this week, it was reported that the team is trying to get Daniels ready to play in Week 14. The passer has been cleared to practice but not cleared for contact.

Another good sign is who Daniels was throwing to at practice: Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown. McLaurin has only played in four games this season due to a quadriceps injury, while Brown hasn't played since Week 2 due to a groin injury.

Seeing those three back on the field together is definitely a positive sign. Brown's practice window was just recently activated, and Daniels won't play this week, but McLaurin could be ready for Sunday. Even if none of the trio plays in Week 13, they all appear likely to play again in 2025.

As mentioned above, playoffs are out of the picture, but it would be nice to get the band back together for the final stretch and end the 2025 season on a positive note.
