Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine continues to work his way back from an ankle injury ahead of his team’s Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Perine hasn’t been a fantasy football factor this year on his own, but his availability and prowess as a pass-blocker have a heavy influence on the snap counts and impact for starter Chase Brown.

Chase Brown fantasy football outlook
Brown has had an up-and-down year from a fantasy perspective, rushing for 626 yards and two scores on a 4.3 average while catching 41 passes for 252 yards and another score.
Perine’s return should mean a reduction in snaps…but there’s a catch:
The Bengals’ offensive line continues to improve by the week.
Case in point, Brown has 100-plus scrimmage yards in five consecutive games. There’s no reason to think he doesn’t hit 15 or more points again with ease for a fifth straight game, especially with Joe Burrow back under center and the Bengals likely running more to protect the quarterback against a strong Ravens defense.
