The Green Bay Packers ruled out four players and listed four others as questionable to play on the final injury report before playing the Detroit Lions on Thursday in Week 13 action.

Let's start with some good news: running back Josh Jacobs does not have a status designation on the final injury report and is good to go for Thursday against the Lions. He did not play on Sunday while recovering from a knee contusion suffered in Week 11, but the Pro Bowler will return to face the Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

However, Matt LaFleur's team will be without receiver Jayden Reed, who wasn't activated to the 53-man roster from injured reserve, and defensive end Lukas Van Ness, defensive tackle Karl Brooks and receiver Savion Williams. Reed's return will likely come next week against the Chicago Bears, while Van Ness (foot), Brooks (ankle) and Williams (foot) are out after trying to play through injuries last week.

Without Williams, the Packers will have to find a new kickoff returner. Cornerback/receiver Bo Melton is the most likely candidate. Williams has labored through a foot injury, so a week off and the mini-bye could help get healthy. The defensive front will be shorthanded without Van Ness and Brooks, but the two combined for only 10 snaps (Van Ness, six; Brooks, four) last week against the Vikings. Expect more snaps out of Kingsley Enagbare on the edge and rookie Warren Brinson inside at defensive tackle.

The inactive list on Thursday morning will be one to watch. Cornerbacks Keisean Nixon (stinger) and Nate Hobbs (knee), linebacker Quay Walker (stinger) and receiver Matthew Golden (wrist) are all questionable to play. While the Packers did not officially practice this week, all four were able to participate in some fashion during walkthroughs and will be given up until gametime on Thursday to prove ready to play. Inactives will be due around 10:30 a.m. CT.

The Packers signed rookie receiver Will Sheppard from the practice squad and elevated linebacker Jamon Johnson and defensive back Jaylin Simpson from the practice squad to the gameday roster, providing help at injured spots should the roster need it on Thursday.

Others without a status designation on the final injury report include Jordan Love, who is battling through a left shoulder injury, and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, slot corner Javon Bullard, receiver Romeo Doubs, receiver Christian Watson and receiver Dontayvion Wicks, who were all estimated as full participants during Wednesday's work.
