Cam Akers is back in the NFC West. The former Los Angeles Rams running back was recently cut by the Minnesota Vikings but he latched on quickly with another team.
According to Jordan Schultz, the Seattle Seahawks are signing Akers to their active roster. He’ll be a depth piece behind Kenneth Walker II and Zach Charbonnet with George Holani sidelined by an injury.

He faced them with the Vikings in 2024 during the regular season, but he didn’t have a carry in that game. During the playoffs, he faced them again, carrying it five times for 39 yards, playing only 12 offensive snaps.
Provided he’s still on the team, Akers will get a third crack at beating his former team in Week 16 when the Seahawks host the Rams in a pivotal NFC West game.
