The New England Patriots will have a major challenge on their hands when trying to replace left tackle Will Campbell, who was officially placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.
When speaking with media members, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel revealed the tentative game plan moving forward with Campbell out for at least the next four games. According to Vrabel, the team will continue to stick with veteran tackle Vederian Lowe as the starter, while rookie Marcus Bryant serves as the top available backup.

“I think the plan right now would be to go with Vederian coming out of that game, and Marcus will be ready to go. [He] has to be ready to go," Vrabel said.
Campbell has been everything the Patriots hoped he'd be when using the No. 4 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft to select him.
Lowe has struggled in the past with penalties and pass protection failures. There's hope that he has improved enough under the new coaching staff to put up more of a fight than he's shown in past starts. The No. 1 seed in the AFC conference might ultimately depend on it.
