Halzle, in his third year as Tennessee's offensive coordinator, was tasked with developing a new quarterback as Joey Aguilar arrived after the departure of Nico Iamaleava before the 2025 Orange and White Game.
Aguilar was one of eight new offensive starters for the Vols entering the 2025 season. Tennessee (8-3, 3-3 SEC) has totaled more than 400 yards of total offense in each of its 11 games this season and is averaging 491.0 yards per contest.
The Vols' passing offense leads the SEC and is fourth nationally, averaging 307.9 yards per game. Aguilar became the fifth Tennessee quarterback to eclipse 3,000 passing yards.
Tennessee's offense is averaging 405.0 yards per game against ranked opponents.
