Nebraska women's basketball (7-0) competed against Virginia (5-2) in the Emerald Coast Classic championship game on Tuesday night. Despite a fourth-quarter surge from the Cavaliers, the Huskers took the win 91-82.
Nebraska commanded the game in the middle two quarters after opening up the first with an 18-16 lead. The Huskers entered halftime up 42-33, then the fourth with a 69-50 lead. But Virginia stormed back, bringing Nebraska's lead down to four with just over two minutes left. The Huskers survived the comeback, finishing on a 10-5 run to get the win.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementNebraska finished 30-of-59 from the floor, 8-of-19 from beyond the arc and 23-of-31 from the free throw line. The Cavaliers shot 25-of-50, 10-of-21 and 22-of-33, respectively. The Huskers also outrebound Virginia 37-29.
Britt Prince delivered another big outing, scoring 30 points after shooting 12-of-17 from the floor, 2-of-3 from three-point range and 4-of-6 from the foul line. This is her second 30-point outing in her career. She also earned six assists on the night.
Amiah Hargrove matched her career-high in scoring on the night, tallying 17 points after shooting 6-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. She led Nebraska in rebounds, securing eight in the win.
Northwestern transfer Hailey Weaver, Callin Hake and Jessica Petrie all posted 11 points on the night. Weaver shot 3-of-6 from the floor, earning all three from beyond the arc. Her 11 points are a season-high and mark her highest-scoring game since Jan. 31, 2024.

Nebraska returns home for its next matchup, hosting Bradley next Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on B1G+.
