UAB is searching for its next football head coach. Former Vol and UAB director of athletics Mark Ingram parted ways with head coach Trent Dilfer on Oct. 12 after 30 games from 2023-25.
According to John Brice of Football Scoop, former Vol and SMU offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Casey Woods is a "target of interest" to fill the Blazers' vacancy.

Woods was a graduate assistant at Tennessee in 2008 and played for the Vols from 2003-07 as a wide receiver and holder.
Ingram played long snapper for the Vols from 1995-96.
He completed a master’s degree in sports administration at Tennessee in 1997. He joined the Vols’ athletics department in 1998, serving as an assistant director of development.
