Picking just 15 players to headline our preseason All-America team was an arduous, if not impossible, task.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementCase in point? There are at least 200 (yes, 200!) players with a serious chance to emerge as a legitimate national player of the year candidate by the end of the season. Which is why before announcing our All-America teams, we first released our SN high school girls basketball national player of the year watchlist.
And yet, there is only room for 15 this time around. SN's three All-American teams consist of five players each. Criteria for the selections included players' individual production and team success in 2024 and prior seasons in addition to recruiting accolades.
Ontario Christian leads the way as the only school with two selections.
