Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo spoke with reporters on Tuesday during his press conference, praising defensive back Bryan Cook’s progress this season.

“I’m glad you brought Bryan (Cook) up. I think sometimes he goes unnoticed, you know, we talk about Trent (McDuffie), Nick (Bolton), and the corners because they’re so important in this league,” said Spagnuolo, “I think Bryan had a really good game last week, tackled well. I think he’s always tackled well, and he kind of runs the show back there. He’s been doing that for a couple of years now, and I‘m glad we got him because the continuity is huge, having a guy like that.”

Spagnuolo’s defense recorded an impressive four three-and-outs in a row to close out last Sunday’s victory over the Indianapolis Colts. The top-ranked Colts offense was held without a touchdown in the second half.

Entering Week 13, Cook has collected 49 total tackles and four pass deflections. He finished last Sunday’s win with eight tackles amongst the team leaders.
