The New York Jets (2-9) head into Week 12 fresh off a 23-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The Jets have been at the bottom of NFL national power rankings polls most weeks throughout the year.
Is this week going to be different?

30. New York Jets (29): QB Tyrod Taylor's promotion coincided with the NYJ's worst rushing output of the season while clinching the franchise's 10th consecutive losing campaign. That'll show 'em. Trust the process.

One big question: What’s the QB plan?
It seemed obvious a month ago that the Jets would use a first-round pick to draft a quarterback. But after trading Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, is it worth building up the rest of the roster first, then going after the QB? Or should they draft a quarterback in April regardless?

The Jets' hiring of Aaron Glenn as head coach is working out about as well as the decision to make Justin Fields the starting quarterback. Fields already got the hook. Glenn's is coming soon enough.
Gang Green traded their two best defensive players at the deadline, and probably should have traded their best healthy offensive player because running back Breece Hall won't be on this team in 2026.
It is possible the Jets will have the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft. The team has three extra firsts over the next two years with which to accelerate the rebound that's coming.
However, the Jets have been rebuilding for the last 15 years, and come September, the team that hits the field is atrocious. Why would that change moving forward?

Justin Fields is benched, but does it matter? They need to find a quarterback next year in the draft.

Tyrod Taylor, Justin Fields … it doesn’t really matter who’s at QB for this terrible team. It’s honestly just a miracle that they somehow won two games.

The Jets gave a good account of themselves in Week 12 despite losing 23-10 to the Baltimore Ravens. The defense has shown a tremendous amount of grit in recent weeks, despite trading away two stars, and is ninth in success rate since Week 10. The outcome is a 1-2 record in those games, but the fact that they ran the Ravens close in Week 12 is a positive sign.

An absolutely wild Jets stat from Rich Cimini: the Jets have the longest interception drought to start a season in NFL history. This, despite facing six of the league’s 13 most interception-prone quarterbacks. While some of these can be strange outliers, doesn’t it seem like a team coached by Aaron Glenn should have picked someone off by now?

Thanksgiving game memory: The "Butt Fumble" in 2012
This was the all-time blooper. After an aborted handoff, quarterback Mark Sanchez tucked the ball, tried to run up the middle and slammed into the rear end of guard Brandon Moore. The impact of the collision caused Sanchez to cough up the ball, which bounced right to safety Steve Gregory, who returned it for a touchdown. That was the second of three touchdowns in a 52-second span for the Patriots. The Jets lost 49-19, but no one remembers that. The play, which will live in infamy, symbolizes a lost era for the Jets.
