The Battlefield 6 free-trial kicked off yesterday (November 25) and runs until December 2. During the limited-time event, newcomers will be able to play five different modes across three maps (Siege Of Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields).

“This is your chance to experience the high-octane multiplayer warfare of Battlefield 6 for an entire week for free,” wrote developers EA. “If you already own Battlefield 6, now is the time to convince those friends who haven’t experienced Battlefield to squad up during the long weekend.”

To access the event, players must boot up the free-to-play battle royale mode Battlefield 6: Redsec. From there, they’ll be able to access three playlists including the 48-player ‘Initiation Breakthrough’ as well as tactical team modes ‘Team Deathmatch’ and ‘Sabotage’. The ‘All-Out Warfare’ playlist allows gamers to try ‘Conquest’, ‘Escalation’ and ‘Breakthrough’.

Any progress earned during the trial will carry over to the full game, if you decide to buy it. To go alongside the trial, EA has shared a breakdown of each of the Battlefield 6 game modes and some tips on how to win.

Last week, EA claimed Battlefield 6 was “the best-selling shooter of 2025” but according to new data, it’s actually the best-selling game of 2025 so far. According to consumer data company Circana, the best-selling game between January 1 and October 31 2025 in the United States was Battlefield 6. The game has also had the highest single month sales of any video game in the past three years, breaking a record set by 2022’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The latest Call Of Duty, Black Ops 7, launched earlier this month but according to reports, sales are significantly down compared to last year’s Black Ops 6.
