Juventus have been delayed on their journey back home from Norway after defeating Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and it is not yet confirmed when exactly the Bianconeri will be able to board their flight home.

Juventus flight home from Bodo delayed

Juventus travelled to the arctic circle to take on Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday evening, picking up their first Champions League win of the season thanks to second half goals from Lois Openda, Weston McKennie and Jonathan David in sub-zero temperatures.

The city of Bodo woke up to more snow on Wednesday morning, and the runway at the city’s airport was frozen over according to various reports from Italian outlets.

Juventus had been scheduled to board a flight back to Italy at 12.00 CET (11.00 GMT), but have not yet been able to get on the plane according to the latest updates. As per Ilbianconero, the Juventus flight has been pushed back until 13.15 BST, a delay of an hour and 15 minutes, but it is not yet guaranteed that they will actually set off at that time.

Several flights out of the Bodo airport were cancelled on Tuesday morning, but airport staff have been hard at work in an attempt to defrost and clear the runways.

Around 1,000 people have reportedly been affected by the delays and cancellations at Bodo airport on Wednesday morning.
