...A clip of Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson doing an impression of a 104-year-old Black man has taken off online with more than 340,000 views.
Johnson appeared on The Katie Miller Podcast and told a story about when he visited the longest-married couple in Louisiana.
He went to visit the couple–Mr. and Mrs. Player, who had been married for 82 years, he said–to give them a certificate from the governor and balloons on Valentines Day.
Johnson said when he asked what the secret to a happy marriage was, Mr. Player told him: “Two things: Let her think she’s the boss…And buy her a new car, every three years.”

Johnson imitated Mr. Player’s voice and accent when he delivered his lines.
While some people on X criticized the impression, with one user calling it “insulting,” many defended it, including YouTuberr Benjamin Freeman, who said: “I think this was pretty good natured. No need for anyone to be offended here.”
This is a developing story – more to follow.
