Torquay United manager Paul Wotton says he will have to bolster his depleted squad after they came back from 2-0 down to beat Worthing 3-2.

The victory moved the Gulls up to third in National League South, leapfrogging Worthing who drop to fifth.

But Dan Hayfield, Louis Dennis and Dylan Morgan sustained injuries that might add them to Wotton's list of absentees, including suspended duo Matt Worthington and Callum Dolan.

"I'm not sure what we're going to do to be honest with you," Wotton told BBC Radio Devon.

"We're going to have to find a way to get some bodies in because we are chronically depleted."

Despite the injury issues Torquay ended Worthing's nine-game unbeaten run and registered a fourth successive victory in an entertaining game.

Joel Colbran and Joe Cook had put Worthing 2-0 up after 17 minutes at Plainmoor.

But the in-from Dennis took his tally to six goals in the past four games when he made it 2-1 after 25 minutes before Jordan young equalised six minutes later.

Dennis then added another goal 10 minutes after half-time as the Gulls hung on for a memorable victory after 13 minutes of stoppage time.

"They showed real fight, real togetherness," Wotton added.

"I've said many times how good a group they are. When we get our full squad back and we're fully fit, we'll be very, very good.

"We're battling and fighting and scrapping at the minute - the boys are working really, really hard."
