Star Trek: Starfleet Academy reveals the first look at the Starfleet Officer played by WWE Superstar Becky Lynch. Created by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premieres with two episodes on Paramount+ on January 15, 2026.
At New York Comic Con in October, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiered its full trailer for season 1, offering story teases for its many characters, including Captain Nahla Ake (Academy Award winner Holly Hunter) and the villainous Nus Braka (Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti).
However, Becky Lynch, whose real name is Rebecca Quin and was announced as joining Star Trek: Starfleet Academy's cast in December 2024, was surprisingly nowhere to be found in the trailer, building speculation about her role in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Collider released an exclusive first look image of Becky Lynch in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Lynch's unnamed Starfleet Academy character is part of the USS Athena's bridge crew. With her stylish bob and gold uniform, Lynch's Starfleet Officer is in Operations, and she appears to be human. Check out the image below:
Becky Lynch also posted on X, touting her Star Trek: Starfleet Academy first look. Check out Becky's post below:
"The Man" Becky Lynch is, indeed, one of the biggest stars in WWE. Lynch is a multi-time World Champion, and most recently, the Women's Intercontinental Champion. Lynch is also the first woman to win the main event at WrestleMania, defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
Although Becky Lynch is a braggadocious heel in WWE, Rebecca Quin's Starfleet Officer in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy serves under Captain Ake and works alongside Starfleet Academy's cadets as they gain experience on the bridge of the USS Athena, the starship that doubles as Starfleet Academy's campus.
Rebecca Quin's previous acting roles include starring in The Marine 6: Close Quarters for WWE Films, playing Cyndi Lauper in Young Rock on NBC, and appearing in Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix. Becky Lynch will be part of an all-star women's War Games match at WWE Survivor Series on November 29.
It's not known how many episodes of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Becky Lynch appears in. Paramount+'s highly anticipated next Star Trek show premieres in a few weeks, and the lingering questions about The Man's role in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will be answered.
