Unveiled on Tuesday night, Alabama was ranked as the nation's No. 10 overall team in the latest rankings from the CFP committee. Last week, Alabama was also ranked at No. 10, not changing after a 56-0 win over Eastern Illinois during Week 13.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementShould the season end today, Alabama would be slotted into the CFP field as the No. 10 seed, facing No. 7 seeded Ole Miss in the first round.
Alabama also owns three victories over teams who are currently ranked in the CFP Top 25, which are No. 4 Georgia, No. 14 Vanderbilt, and No. 19 Tennessee. The Crimson Tide's losses are to unranked Florida State, as well as No. 8 Oklahoma.
Alabama (8-2 overall, 6-1 SEC) will officially conclude the regular season this Saturday at Auburn for the Iron Bowl, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC. A must-win game for Alabama to keep their CFP hopes alive, the Crimson Tide would also clinch a SEC Championship Game berth with a win.
