The Tennessee Titans may have lost to the Seattle Seahawks, but to keep the game as close as 30-24 against one of the league's best defenses is pretty impressive.
No one expected the Titans to win that game. In fact, most thought that they'd get blown out of the water because of Seattle's defense, combined with the duo of Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. JSN and Darnold did torch the Titans' secondary, with Darnold racking up 244 yards, and JSN the benefactor of 167 of those yards.

As we enter Week 13, here's a look at where the Titans place in a multitude of power rankings.

If you thought a four-game homestand was going to help a team that hasn't won in Nashville for 13 months … welp.

There are signs of progress. The Titans didn’t lose by fewer than eight points in their first eight games. They’ve lost by seven or fewer points in three straight games, to the Chargers, Texans and Seahawks. You can make an argument they’re better than the Raiders right now.
Diante Lee, The Ringer: 30 (-1)
It's a shame that the Titans don't have much of a national fan base, because NFL fans are missing out on Cam Ward. Facing off against one of teh NFL's best defenses on Sunday, Ward put up one of his better games of the year and strung together enough drives in the seocnd half to provide plenty of optimism about Tennessee's future.
For his sake, I hope the Titans nail their head coaching hire, because Ward could be a franchise-changing player under the right circumstances.

The Titans showed a little more fight with Cam Ward aaainst the Seahawks, but the defense might need a lot more work than the offense in the 2026 offseason.
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: 32 (NC)
Cam Ward played better in the loss to the Seahawks, which is the progress that matters. The first pick looks like it's going to be theirs.

No team would rather fast-forward through these final few weeks more than the Titans, who don’t have much to look forward to until they hire their next head coach. Well, that and following their projected odds of landing the No. 1 pick for a second straight draft. (We have them at 47 percent.)
Barry Werner, List Wire: 32 (NC)
At least they can get another high draft pick.
Walter Football: 32 (NC)
The Titans, thanks to their covers against the Texans and Seahawks, are now 7-24 against the spread since Week 1 of last year. It’s truly remarkable how awful they’ve been. The only way they cover is via back-door nonsense in the fourth quarter.

Thanksgiving game memory: "Smash and Dash" dominate the Lions in 2008
The 10-1 Titans traveled to Detroit and beat the stuffing out of the Lions. The 47-10 win was fueled by the Titans' game-changing running back duo of Chris Johnson and LenDale White, also known as "Smash and Dash." They combined for 231 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Johnson showed his electrifying speed on a 58-yard touchdown run. White's physical run style provided the perfect complement. Both players got a piece of the turkey leg postgame.
