This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.Netflix's live-action One Piece has cast two major villains for season 3. The update comes a day after Netflix announced that season 3 filming had begun in Cape Town, South Africa. One Piece season 2 premieres on March 10, 2026, but season 3 was confirmed to have been renewed as of August 2025.
Per Deadline, Awdo Awdo has been cast as Mr. 1 and Daisy Head will play Miss Doublefinger in season 3. Both characters are part of the criminal organization known as the Baroque Works. They play important roles in the Alabasta Arc from the anime series, which season 3 will adapt.
Ahead of the Alabasta Arc, several actors from One Piece's cast have been promoted to series regulars due to their expanded roles in season 3, including Mikaela Hoover as Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefartari Cobra.
As for the new actors' previous credits, One Piece is not Head's first major Netflix show, as she previously played Genya Safin in seasons 1 and 2 of the fantasy series Shadow and Bone. She also played Sofina, a Red Wizard of Thay, in the 2023 film Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and portrayed Judy Talbot in a season 1 episode of Netflix's The Sandman.
Awdo's only movie or TV credit is the 2024 short film Under Siege, but he already had multiple projects in the works before his One Piece casting.
