We've got 12 weeks in the books, which means 12 managers in your Yahoo Fantasy Guillotine Leagues presented by Liquid Death are no longer around. It’s a wicked game, isn’t it? Of course, it’s wickedly fun when you’re on the good side of things.
If you’re still reading our weekly Guillotine League missive, congratulations. You’re still alive. You made it to Thanksgiving Week.

[Eliminated or looking for more fun? There's still time to join or create another Yahoo Fantasy Guillotine League]
I’ll run through the most commonly-cut players and some FAB advice, as usual, but the strategy becomes more and more context-dependent as we meander through the late stages of the season. And it’s critical that you audit the FAB budgets remaining for your competitors. It’s not unlike poker, where a good player is constantly reevaluating the chip dynamics of the table, who’s deep and who’s thin. Leverage is everything.
The waiver wire will be especially rich every week onward, as the cut teams become stronger and stronger. It’s also more plausible to find useful players on the wire for nothing, players who would never be free agents in a casual league. Remember, your manager pool keeps shrinking in size.

Understanding FAB recommendations
Proactive: This means you highly covet this player, perhaps might even need this player. I realize these offers might not win if someone in your league is going all in, but as described above, that can be short-sighted in this format with how much talent is available each week.
Reactive: This means you desire the player but the cost has to make sense for your short- or long-term strategy.
Keep Them Honest: This is an offer that is not designed to win, but might surprisingly land a player if your opponents are distracted by other talent available or unexpectedly passive that week. I often compare notes with other experienced Guillotine League players and we’re surprised at how often the "Keep Them Honest" bids actually win (this is also a portable strategy for regular season-long leagues; you never know when strange market behavior will come about).

Week 12's top-10 players on eliminated teams
Again, the FAB buckets are an extremely loose guide. Play the hand you’re dealt, and consider what’s around you. You know your league dynamics better than an outsider ever could.
1. Josh Allen, QB, Bills (32% of eliminated teams)
After a Superman game against Tampa Bay, Allen looked like Clark Kent against the swarming Houston defense. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are positive draws the next two weeks, but later matches at Cleveland (the defense is outstanding) and against Philadelphia could be taxing.

Proactive: $185
Reactive: $140
Keep them honest: $80
2. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts (30%)
The RB1 finish in Week 10 was glorious (and his fourth RB1 chart of the year), but it’s wrapped around a bye week and two games outside the top 20. The schedule isn’t fun moving forward, starting with that nasty Texans defense in Week 13. The Taylor ceiling must always be respected, but the floor isn’t as sturdy as we saw in the first half.
FAB Recommendation:
Proactive: $240
Reactive: $210
Keep them honest: $160
3. Kyren Williams, RB, Rams (29%)
Davante Adams has become the go-to option at the goal for the Rams, and Williams is also ceding more work to Blake Corum these days. Williams was an auto-start in Guillotine Leagues when the season opened, but with roster strength expanding, you have a weekly decision on your hands.

Proactive: $90
Reactive: $45
Keep them honest: $20
4. Tee Higgins, WR, Bengals (29%)
Higgins was having a modest game against New England before an unfortunate concussion ended the day. Higgins won’t play Week 13, and it’s not uncommon for players to miss multiple weeks with a concussion, so our expectations must be muted.
FAB Recommendation:
Proactive: $40
Reactive: $20
Keep them honest: $2-4
5. Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles (29%)
The Lane Johnson injury is a crusher for the Philly offensive line, not that Barkley was thriving even before Johnson got hurt. Barkley’s pass-catching partially saved him in Week 12, but that’s not something we can count on weekly, either. It’s been a difficult regression season.

Proactive: $130
Reactive: $70
Keep them honest: $25
6. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens (26%)
It’s been a slog since his return a month ago: QB9, QB15, QB29, QB25. But with two Cincinnati games in the next three weeks, the narrative could flip quickly. Check Jackson’s injury status (toe) before you finalize your offer.
FAB Recommendation:
Proactive: $130
Reactive: $100
Keep them honest: $70
7. De’Von Achane, RB, Dolphins (26%)
Miami’s bye week took some managers out, no fault to Achane. He’s been remarkably consistent all year, especially in the passing game. Guillotine Leagues are all about floor mixed with upside, and Achane enthusiastically checks both boxes. Go get him.
FAB Recommendation:
Proactive: $220
Reactive: $185
Keep them honest: $120
8. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys (26%)
Drops have plagued Lamb in recent weeks, and he’s had to share more targets with George Pickens than initially expected. Lamb still holds auto-start status in any format, but we’d like to see him play a cleaner game this week against Kansas City.
FAB Recommendation:
Proactive: $200
Reactive: $165
Keep them honest: $100
9. TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Patriots (25%)
Henderson kept the featured role for Week 12, though he didn’t get into the end zone after spiking five times the previous two weeks. The Patriots might be without key LT Will Campbell (knee) for several weeks.
FAB Recommendation:
Proactive: $100
Reactive: $50
Keep them honest: $10-15
10. Nico Collins, WR, Texans (25%)
He was making some beautiful music with Davis Mills in prior weeks, but the Houston offense didn’t do much in the victory over Buffalo. Collins should be needed more down the stretch, though the unsettled QB room has affected his consistency.
