Steelers' Alex Highsmith gets injury update ahead of Week 13 vs. Bills

The Pittsburgh Steelers received a key update on the condition of OLB Alex Highsmith, who's missed the past two games with a pectoral injury.

After providing a promising update about QB Aaron Rodgers' (left wrist) return against the Bills, Tomlin claimed the same could be said about Highsmith.

"[Highsmith's] been out the past couple of weeks, but we're optimistic as we start the week about his inclusion," Tomlin said during Tuesday's press conference.

Before his injury, Highsmith put together an incredible two-game performance against the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers — registering four sacks, five tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, and a forced fumble in Weeks 9 and 10.

Highsmith's potential availability against the fearsome Bills offense — led by reigning MVP Josh Allen — is a much-welcome return as the Steelers look to get back into the playoff picture with a Week 13 win over Buffalo.
