New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye did not have a specific reason for his struggles early on in Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
He missed multiple routine throws by his standards and even threw a pick-six early in the second quarter. With that said, he did ultimately settle down in the game and ended up putting together a solid showing overall.

"Not that I can think of," Maye told media members, when asked if the ball felt different coming out. "Sometimes you just have to let it go. That's when I'm throwing it best and on time. I wasn't very accurate early on, but I found a groove. Just head back to the basics."
Maye ultimately made the plays he needed to make to help lead the Patriots to their 10th win of the season. It was a tough game filled with injuries and uncharacteristic mistakes on offense, but the second-year quarterback showed his ability to battle through adversity.
