Scrubs fans are really living their best lives right now. The beloved comedy series starring Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and more is returning and it is time to check back into Sacred Heart with our favorite doctors! And now, to kick off the holiday season, fans got their first look at the new show with a teaser trailer that has the new interns of Sacred Heart meeting our former interns. And it is glorious and maybe JD is standing as a superhero for one reason or another. Who knows, it's JD. He just does things.
Scrubs as a series focused on the students and employees of the teaching hospital known as Sacred Heart. But for all the antics of JD and is friends, the doctors meant to teach them are just as unhinged. As is the janitorial staff with characters like Neil Flynn's janitor who didn't even reveal his name to his fellow employees until the very end of the show. Now, the new teaser for the reboot series gives us some insight into where JD and his fellow doctors are now, fifteen years later.
The new teaser is 30 seconds long and has JD, Turk, and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) all walking the halls of Sacred Heart together to "Big Dawg" by Quise.B until they come up on a group of interns. "I'm back, baby" JD says to the confused faces of the new interns, all looking at him like they don't know him. In fact, they don't and Turk and Elliot try to give him advice. That is, until they tell him to try to do it like "Dr. Cox" and the doctor in question, belovedly played by John C. McGinley, appears from behind a curtain with Carla (Judy Reyes).
It Feels Good to Be Back In Sacred Heart
Scrubs started back in 2001 and ran for 9 years, ending in 2010 and leaving a hospital-shaped hole in the hearts of fans. Since, Faison and Braff have done commercials together and given fans little nods to the Turk and JD friendship we all know and love but getting to head back to Sacred Heart with the entire cast is exciting! Especially with the changing dynamics that are clearly happening in this new reboot of the show but hey, at least JD, Turk, and Elliot might be nicer than Dr. Cox was to them?
You can watch the original series of Scrubs to prepare for the new reboot series!
