Battlefield 6 is letting anyone play for free for a limited time, but PlayStation Plus subscribers shouldn't overlook a bonus opportunity. Battlefield Studios' and EA's first-person shooter has been a smashing success, currently on pace to beat Call of Duty in sales this year, and is generally being celebrated as a much-needed return to form for the franchise.
A Reddit post was made as a reminder to PlayStation Plus users checking out Battlefield 6's free trial this week that they can also claim a free cosmetic bundle. If you have an active PS Plus subscription, you can claim the Rogue Ops Pack from the PlayStation Store, which gives you a set of items to use in both Battlefield 6 and its battle royale companion, Battlefield: RedSec. The bundle is free for PlayStation Plus users, and otherwise costs $19.99.
Battlefield 6 Is Getting A Free Trial
The Rogue Ops Pack isn't necessarily new (it was made available on October 28, according to the PlayStation Store), but Battlefield 6's free trial is, and it's a rare opportunity to grab some free DLC to use for a week – or more, if the trial convinces you to buy the game. BF6 is going free-to-play for a week starting today, November 25, through next Tuesday, December 2. All you have to do is download the Battlefield: RedSec game client, and the free Battlefield 6 multiplayer playlists will be available to you.
The experience is significantly pared back from what the full game offers. In the Battlefield 6 free trial, you're only granted access to three playlists: Initiation Breakthrough will ease you in with matches potentially populated with bots; Team Tactical has two smaller modes, Team Deathmatch and Sabotage; and All-Out Warfare features most of BF6's main modes with Conquest, Breakthrough, and incredible newcomer Escalation.
PlayStation Plus Users Can Grab Free DLC

The Rogue Ops Pack contains the following items:
- Going Dark – Pax Armata Assault class skin
- No Limits – soldier patch
- Target Spotted – player card background
- Jacked In – weapon charm
- Lead Rain – dog tag
- Aggressive Tactics – vehicle decal
- Night Raid – UH-79 helicopter skin
- Seasoned – weapon sticker
- Lamina – parachute skin
- Arctic Reign – L110 LMG weapon package
- Early Grave – P18 pistol weapon package
The Rogue Ops Pack is priced on other platforms at $20, but is available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for free. The cosmetics can be equipped in both Battlefield 6 multiplayer and Battlefield: RedSec. The latter is permanently free-to-play, so even if the base game free trial doesn't convince you, the Rogue Ops Pack may still be worth redeeming if you want to continue playing the battle royale. Battlefield 6 is free for one week only, and there's no harm in using some bonus cosmetics for free if you've got PlayStation Plus.
