Auburn football releases depth chart for Iron Bowl vs. Alabama

The Auburn Tigers released their depth chart on Monday ahead of their annual Iron Bowl matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Auburn is looking to close out the regular season with a win over in-state rival Alabama. A win on Saturday night would not erase a difficult year, but it would give fans something to look back fondly on. The Tigers have a chance to improve their record to 6-6 and spoil the playoff chances for the Crimson Tide.

Ashton Daniels will return as the starting quarterback and not playing versus in order to maintain his redshirt and to eligibility for next season. Deuce Knight made the most of his opportunity to start with 401 total yards and six touchdowns in a 62-17 win over the Mercer Bears.

On defense, the Tigers got a bit of scare with Keldric Faulk leaving the game. However, interim head coach D.J. Durkin confirmed the status of Faulk for the Iron Bowl during his press conference on Monday.

"He’ll be ready to go," Durkin said. "He’s got dinged up a little bit, and we were at a point in that game where he didn’t need to keep playing in that game based on the situation," he continued.

Auburn will be without defensive back Sylvester Smith in the first half due a targeting penalty in the second half versus Mercer.
