Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers pleading that Mike Tomlin to be fired just received an interesting response from the long-time head coach himself — and he wasn't frustrated, he actually understands them more than they realize.
Speaking with reporters during Tuesday's press conference, Tomlin was asked to share his personal feelings on hearing fans call for his job — and his response was surprising, to say the least.

"And so, if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning. And so when you're not winning, it's not entertaining. If you've been in this business, you understand that, and so I respect it. I share frustrations. I understand what makes this thing go, and winning is what makes this thing go."
Late in the fourth quarter of the blowout Week 13 loss to the Buffalo Bills, chants of "Fire Tomlin" rained down from Acrisure Stadium as the Steelers fell to 6-6 on the season, leaving their playoff hopes to ride on a divisional title.
Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger also appears to share a similar belief with fans, as the future Hall of Fame quarterback agreed that Pittsburgh should part ways with his former head coach, even pointing to a vacant Penn State HC job as Tomlin's next landing spot.
