Alisson will stay until 2027
One player whose future beyond 2026 now looks secure is Alisson Becker.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has just returned following injury - once again taking his place as Liverpool’s No1. Brazil international Alisson has been at the club since 2017 and his current deal is actually due to expire in 2026.

According to a report in the Athletic sporting director Richard Hughes fully intends to trigger that clause - which should see Alisson remain on Merseyside until 2027.
Liverpool take up Alisson option
“Alisson’s contract also expires at the end of the year, but Liverpool are expected to take up the one-year option they have to extend it into 2027,” the report reads.
Liverpool decided to buy Giorgi Mamardashvili back in 2024 - paying an initial £24m to Valencia for the Georgian international. The 25-year-old remained on loan with los Che for the 2024/25 season - before taking up residence in Liverpool last summer.

He may well have to settle in as the South American’s deputy until 2027 however - with Liverpool strengthening their resolve to keep him in goal until then.
