Summary: Despite only being 6’ tall, Davis plays like he is 6’5. He has an alpha dog mentality thinking every jump ball is his and everyone else is simply in his way. He is an impressive athlete who is also one of the best in the state of Louisiana at the triple jump.
High School: West Monroe (West Monroe, LA)
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRecruiting Ranking: Davis is the 182nd overall prospect in the country, 24th WR, and the 6th highest rated player in Louisiana
The Recruitment: Davis had been committed to local Tulane since mid June, but formally decommitted from the Green Wave on Nov 24. Houston was the other school who was in heavy pursuit of Davis, but after taking an official visit against Purdue and a follow-up visit against Oregon on Saturday the Huskies surged ahead to land him.
Roster Impact: This past season has featured a lot of true freshman WRs getting playing time, but Davis has a legit chance to carve out an early role when he arrives on Montlake. He will be one of the best athletes in the WR room from day 1 and that is a good problem to have for coach Cummings to have.
Junior Season Stats: 53 catches for 998 yards and 8 TDs
