“I think the new head coach he’s been on me since I committed with Ole Miss,” Goldsberry said. “He kept a good relationship with me. Being close to home that’s cool. Being in-state.
“I just really like the whole new staff it’s good.”
Goldsberry’s father Jon played running back for Purdue before a stint in the NFL. The younger Goldsberry has been one of the best two-way players in the Hoosier State the last few seasons. He’s also a terrific wrestler that’s been All-State in the hurdles in track.
A quarterback Goldsberry threw for 5,310 yards and 68 touchdowns with 4,614 yards and 18 more scores. He has 252 tackles, five forced fumbles and four interceptions as well.

“Them being the underdog,” Goldsberry said. “We get a bunch of good guys in there from transfer portal and high school we can get some things going in the next two years or so and get the program back to where it was before.”
Goldsberry has great memories growing up around Purdue.
“I remember when I was little going to the game with dad and my friends,” Goldsberry said. “I watched a couple upsets there including a Michigan State game, got to run out on the field. Walking through the tunnel and everything it was a good time. It’s a special thing. Been in my family for a while. I have a lot of friends there and a lot of people in my school make decisions to go to school there because its a good institution.
“It will be a good experience.”
Rivals ranks Goldsberry as the nation’s No. 31 safety. He becomes one of the jewels of this Purdue 2026 class.
