Against all odds, Seattle Seahawks rookie left guard Grey Zabel played in Sunday's 30-24 Week 12 win over the Tennessee Titans. Zabel played despite being seriously questionable with a knee injury. The first-round pick had missed several practices leading up to Sunday's road trip to Nashville.

The Seahawks were already down one interior offensive linemen, with center Olu Oluwatimi replacing Jalen Sundell in the lineup. The Titans have the fierce duo of Jeffery Simmons and T'Vondre Sweat at defensive tackle. Had Zabel not been able to play, sophomore guard Christian Haynes would have filled in at left guard.

Zabel played all 48 offensive snaps for the Seahawks. Pro Football Focus credited him with allowing just one pressure (a quarterback hit). Zabel didn't give up a sack en route to a pass-blocking grade of 54.1. The former North Dakota State standout also wasn't whistled for a penalty.

Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold was sacked on just one occasion. The Seahawks didn't allow any sacks during the first half. Zabel and the offensive line largely shut down a Titans defensive line that had been performing admirably in recent weeks. It was incredibly impressive to see Zabel push through a painful injury for the greater good of the offense.
