As 2025 comes to a close, there is a new movie surging on Prime Video's charts that proves to be the perfect mix between neo-western and crime thriller for viewers to watch this week. There are many exciting movies on Prime Video this week, ranging from originals to licensed films arriving on the streamer, which include quite a few classics.
That said, Prime Video subscribers are always searching for worthy new releases, and I believe that there is an easy winner. Starring Taron Egerton, She Rides Shotgun is a gritty crime thriller that explores the bond between a father and his daughter. There are plenty of reasons why Prime Video subscribers should check it out, including its solid global performance.
She Rides Shotgun Is Dominating Streaming Charts
She Rides Shotgun was released on August 1, with the movie finally arriving on Prime Video on November 26 in several countries. Quickly after it dropped on the streaming service, Taron Egerton's neo-western rose to lead its charts. She Rides Shotgun is currently the most-watched movie on Prime Video worldwide, ranking #1 in the United Kingdom, France, and more.
In the United States, She Rides Shotgun is also a major streaming hit. However, instead of being included with a Prime Video subscription, the crime thriller is available through the MGM+ channel. On the streamer, She Rides Shotgun has become the third most-watched movie in the United States. As such, the film's streaming performance globally shows its strength.

She Rides Shotgun has been met with overwhelming praise by both critics and audiences alike. On Rotten Tomatoes, the neo-western movie holds an impressive 87% critics' score, leading to the Certified Fresh label. Its audience score is even higher, with viewers giving it a 91% score, which shows why the film is leading Prime Video's charts worldwide.
As a fan of Taron Egerton since his Kingsman days, She Rides Shotgun is a delight. The gritty crime movie sees the actor play Nate McClusky, who was tied to the white supremacist group Aryan Steel. His past catches up to him, as Nate is forced to journey across the country with his estranged daughter, Polly (Ana Sophia Heger), in an effort to keep her safe.
Tension is high in every frame of the movie, with Nate doing everything he can to save his daughter and himself from those hunting them. This is a bloody story centered on an imperfect man, and Egerton's performance brings out all the layers within Nate. As such, I highly recommend She Rides Shotgun, and its Prime Video global hit status makes sense.
