C.J. Wallace is a Husky!

Washington locked down its kicker of the future with the signing of C.J. Wallace, one of the top specialists in the 2026 class, out of powerhouse St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA). At a position where reliability is everything, Wallace brings both elite training and big-game experience to Montlake.

Rated as the No. 4 kicker nationally by premier evaluator Chris Sailer, Wallace earned a 4.5-star grade, typically reserved for prospects expected to compete for starting jobs immediately at the FBS level. Wallace visited Seattle this spring and wasted no time pulling the trigger, giving the Huskies an early foundation for the 2026 class.

Washington is set at kicker for the next season with veteran Grady Gross, but Wallace’s arrival couldn’t come at a better time. With Gross aging out after 2025, Wallace enters a depth chart perfectly built for a freshman to take over the job. His smooth mechanics, consistent lift, and plus-level range have made him one of the most trusted kicking prospects on the West Coast.

Bosco kickers routinely play in high-pressure settings, and Wallace has been no exception. Whether flipping field position or drilling pressure kicks late in games, he’s earned a reputation for poise and precision. That competitive pedigree should translate well into the Huskies’ special teams room, which has emphasized efficiency and long-term consistency under this staff.
