Kaitlin Olson and the rest of the team behind High Potential are officially back in business. The crew has been on a roller-coaster ride in recent days after celebration led to defeat on the streaming charts. What started as an incredibly exciting time, with the Season 2 premiere viewership numbers pushing the procedural past a milestone moment, quickly dropped off the edge after the title fell off Disney+’s global Top 10. But now, the series is once again riding high, as, according to FlixPatrol, it clocks in at the #8 spot on the list surrounded by other favorites like Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair and the ever-popular Grey’s Anatomy.
For those who may have missed the staggering numbers when they first rolled in, it was reported late last month that in the two months since new episodes began rolling out, more folks have been tuning into what’s become ABC’s breakaway hit. After 35 days across ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms, High Potential recorded a whopping 17.23 million views, which includes a 300% increase for the Season 2 premiere since its day of release. Although we’re likely a few weeks (or maybe even months) out from any word surrounding the title’s Season 3 renewal, these numbers indicate that the network has a growing hit on its hands and likely one they won’t want to let go of anytime soon.
With a new love interest in the mix, who just so happens to potentially be a really bad guy, Olson’s Morgan Gillory has plenty to juggle when the series returns for its back half of episodes. On top of her professional and personal life mixing together, there’s still the ongoing mystery surrounding her missing first husband, Roman, a plot point that has woven itself through the series since its debut episode. Meanwhile, back at the station, tensions are running high with the crew attempting to put their differences with the new captain (Steve Howey) aside and solve the crimes thrown their way.
What Else Is Kaitlin Olson Up To?
Ahead of the success of High Potential, most folks would likely connect Olson’s name and face to the long-running beloved FX comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. For nearly 20 seasons, the off-the-rails team of Olson, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Rob Mac and Danny DeVito have been making audiences cry from laughter episode after episode. The gang recently celebrated a return with Season 17 and, luckily, the title has already been contracted for Season 18. Although we don’t know when Season 18 will pick up cameras, it looks like Olson’s already busy schedule with High Potential is about to get even more booked.
You can stream High Potential on Hulu, Disney+ and Disney+ on Hulu.
