Laken Tomlinson has played his last down with the Houston Texans.
On Tuesday, Tomlinson was waived after being inactive for the past three games. He started the first seven games before rotating in with Juice Scruggs at left guard. One Trent Brown was healthy enough to start, Houston moved former starting right tackle Tytus Howard inside, thus filling the hole at a rotating left guard spot between Tomlinson, Scruggs and Jarrett Patterson in Week 10.

The 33-year-old was the team’s starting guard to open the season, but he always viewed as the weak link of the roster.
According to KPRC2 Sports' Aaron Wilson, Tomlinson's contract promised $2.5 million in total guarantees, a $1 million signing bonus, a salary of $2.5 million with $1.5 million fully guaranteed.
The Texans take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday on Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff on NBC is scheduled for 7:20 p.m.
