Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers may have a former player joining their "Fire Tomlin" movement, as the legendary Ben Roethlisberger believes that it's time to "clean house" in the Steel City.

On Tuesday's episode of the Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger podcast, the former Steelers quarterback shared his honest feelings on a potential split between Pittsburgh and HC Mike Tomlin.

"It's being talked about around here a lot, maybe it's a clean house time," Roethlisberger said. "Maybe it is. Maybe it's time, and I like Coach Tomlin. I have a lot of respect for Coach Tomlin. But maybe it's best for him too. Maybe a fresh start for him is what's best. Whether that's in the pros — maybe, go be Penn State's head coach."

Roethlisberger added that while the Steelers shouldn't necessarily fire Tomlin, they should instead come to an "understanding" and an "agreement" in which both parties go their separate ways.

Big Ben does have a point, as an amicable split between the longest tenured head coach and Pittsburgh may be best for both parties — with even ESPN's Adam Schefter arguing yesterday that the Steelers wouldn't outright fire Tomlin.
