Even though Real Madrid have a packed midfield department, the club’s sporting department remains on the lookout for a player who can fill the void left by Toni Kroos’ retirement in 2024.
The Spanish capital giants lack the profile of a midfielder who can control things and dictate the tempo of the game from the centre, which has affected the balance of the team.

Real Madrid eyeing Christos Mouzakitis
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have added Olympiacos prodigy Christos Mouzakitis to their shortlist.
In fact, Los Blancos are understood to be weighing up an offer of around £25 million for the 18-year-old midfield ace.

Despite his young age, Mouzakitis has already made more than 50 appearances for the Olympiacos first team, 16 of which have come in the ongoing season. He also has seven caps with the Greek national team.

After the game, the manager also had words of praise for the young midfielder, and as it turns out, Real Madrid are now considering making an offer for him.
Mouzakitis, however, is also attracting strong interest from Premier League heavyweights Manchester United, while Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring his progress.
The teenager has a contract with Olympiacos that runs until 2029. It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid do follow through on their interest and submit an offer for the young midfield prodigy.
