Happy birthday, Francesco! It's Toldo Day on Inter TV

Francesco Toldo turns 54 today, giving us the opportunity to look back about his charisma, talent and determination. After joining Inter in the summer of 2001, Toldo went on to make 233 competitive appearances for the Club, standing out for his presence, personality and saves that remain etched in the memories of Inter fans.

During his exceptional spell with the Nerazzurri, he won the Champions League, five Scudetti, three Coppa Italia titles and three Italian Super Cups, before earning his place in the Club’s Hall of Fame.

IT’S TOLDO DAY ON INTER TV

To mark his birthday, Inter TV is dedicating a special day of programming to Francesco Toldo, turning the schedule into a journey through some of the most emotional moments of his Nerazzurri career.

The line-up features multiple airings of Numeri 1, the series celebrating Inter’s greatest goalkeepers, including an episode devoted entirely to an in-depth portrait of Toldo.

There is also space for the matches that helped define his legendary status at the Club. It begins with Inter vs Juventus 2002/03, the match in which Toldo played a decisive role in the move that led to Vieri’s winner, lighting up San Siro. Then comes Valencia vs Inter 2002/03, an unforgettable European night: the Spaniards won 2–1, but it was Toldo’s extraordinary string of saves that sent Inter through to the Champions League semi-finals on aggregate.

The entire day is filled with archive footage and iconic moments, paying tribute to a goalkeeper who combined reflexes, courage and an exceptional ability to lead the team in its most delicate moments. Toldo Day on Inter TV is a heartfelt celebration of a champion who wrote some of the most valuable chapters in Inter’s history.
