The New England Patriots are completely dominating the New York Giants in Week 13.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThrough one half of football, New England has a 30-7 lead over New York. Mike Vrabel's squad has been nearly perfect, especially quarterback Drake Maye.
Maye had a fantastic first half for New England, completing 16 of 20 passes for 207 passing yards and two touchdowns. The North Carolina product has been surgical all year, and we've seen more of the same on Monday night.
A breakout 2025 campaign was always in the cards for Maye, but his rise to being one of the best quarterbacks in the sport has begun a conversation on his MVP chances.
Is Drake Maye an MVP candidate?
Maye isn't just an MVP candidate. The 23-year-old superstar is one of the leading candidates for the award, as he has led the Patriots to a 10-2 record and been incredibly productive in Josh McDaniels' offense.

There are a few players with strong MVP cases, including Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. However, Maye should also be in the upper echelon of MVP candidates, and his performance versus the Giants on Monday night only strengthens his case.
