Arizona volleyball continues its run. The program broke through with its first NCAA Tournament selection since 2018 on Sunday. Now, it has placed its fourth player in Major League Volleyball after the Columbus Fury announced the signing of former Wildcat pin hitter Jaelyn Hodge as a free agent.
Hodge played five years for Arizona, winding up her college career on the NIVC championship team in 2024. She spent her first four years as an outside hitter then moved to opposite for her fifth season.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHodge was second on the team with 3.79 kills and 4.33 points per set last season. She was fourth on the team with 0.68 blocks per set. She finished out her Arizona career on a high note with a season high 25 kills and 28 points against Bowling Green in the 2024 NIVC title game.
In her five years wearing a Wildcat uniform, the Queen Creek, Ariz. native averaged 3.08 kills, 1.56 digs, 0.50 blocks, and 3.45 points per set.
After leaving Arizona, Hodge played professionally in Puerto Rico.
She joins Arizona alumna Sofia Maldonado Diaz, who signed with the Dallas Pulse as a free agent. Fellow alumna Kendra Dahlke is set to return for her third year in the league with the San Diego Mojo. Current Wildcat Jordan Wilson was drafted by the Grand Rapids Rise on Nov. 24.
