GREEN BAY – Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirmed defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt is out for the season.

Wyatt suffered an ankle injury on the defense’s final snap in the 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

After the Packers lost veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark as part of the Micah Parsons trade from the Dallas Cowboys, Wyatt became the team’s most-productive interior defender. Despite missing some time this season due to injury, he had four sacks and 22 pressures over 379 snaps.

“He’s a guy that’s going to be pretty tough to replace,” LaFleur said. “And I think it just falls on everybody else kind of raising the level of their game.”

The Packers will count on Colby Wooden, Karl Brooks, and rookies Warren Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse to elevate their play to fill the hole left by Wyatt. Wooden has 36 combined tackles (19 solo), six tackles for loss and two quarterback hits. Brooks has been dealing with an ankle injury over the past two weeks. He’s added a half-sack and 17 combined tackled.

"I think everything is up in the air, but I think we have confidence in the guys who have been playing and doing a good job,” LaFleur said. “It'd be nice to get Karl Brooks back out there, and the two young guys are going to have to get more reps, Brinson and Stack. We'll handle it that way."
