The early returns are in, and several Cowboys players are in the hunt for a Pro Bowl nod, but- just like the 6-5-1 team they play for- they have some ground to make up before it's all over.
In all, 12 Cowboys are within the top 10 at their position as of midday Monday, Dec. 1, with two specialists currently leading the league at their roster spot.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementDallas, unsurprisingly, has no defensive players in the top 10 at their positions, as the unit's resurgence over the past three games may have come too late to impact this year's vote. Former Cowboys stars Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence are showing out for their new teams, however; Parsons is tops at defensive end for the Packers and the third-leading vote-getter across all positions, while the Seahawks' Lawrence currently sits in 10th place among DEs.
Fan voting began on Thanksgiving Day and will continue through Dec. 15. This season, the Pro Bowl Games will be held as part of Super Bowl Week in San Francisco rather than as a standalone event.
