Have you discovered Google’s hidden Superman Easter Egg yet? Fair warning: it’s wildly addictive and one of the coolest tributes to a comic hero ever made. That said, Marvel is undoubtedly turning green with envy right now.
James Gunn’s Superman (2025) hit theaters in the summer, earning its place as one of the biggest film openings of the year. It had the highest-grossing domestic opening for a Superman solo film and set records for single-day box office performance.
Additionally, it was the top-grossing superhero movie of 2025, earning over $615 million worldwide and surpassing other major releases like Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Step. Another accolade for the film is that Google even dedicated its own interactive, Krypto-themed Easter Egg to it on its search engine.
How to Unlock Google’s Hidden Superman Easter Egg
Discover Krypto’s Paw Prints, Heroic Music, and a Fun Interactive Surprise on Search
For those eager to experience the Superman Easter Egg, all they need to do is type “Superman” into the Google search bar and hit search. As expected, this brings up all information related to the Man of Steel. However, eagle-eyed fans will notice a small red circle with a white paw print appearing on the page.
Clicking the paw print triggers a dog bark, and Krypto’s white leg presses a beige paw print on the search results page. Heroic music begins to play, and wherever fans click, Krypto’s paw appears, leaving either a paw print or the red Superman emblem. This makes the Easter Egg incredibly fun and addictive to explore.
Above, readers can see screenshots of the red circle with the white paw print and the aftermath of clicking around the search results. This is one of the coolest Superman Easter Eggs thanks to Google. Fans can also try searching “cat” or “dog” to discover a similar interactive feature on Google.

Google Thanos Snap
While Marvel doesn’t currently have a Google Easter Egg like DC, fans may recall that Google once offered an equally entertaining surprise: the Thanos Snap. Released to coincide with Avengers: Endgame, this interactive feature let users engage with the Mad Titan in a fun, cinematic way.
Searching “Thanos” brought up a golden Infinity Gauntlet in the knowledge panel. Clicking it caused half the search results to vanish in a dust-like animation accompanied by sound. Clicking again restored the results, as if rewinding time with the Time Stone.
This Thanos and Superman Easter Egg proves Google’s love for both comic publishers and their biggest releases. However, it will be interesting to see whether the Krypto paw print Easter Egg is eventually discontinued like the Thanos Snap, or if the Superman Easter Egg will continue to delight fans for years to come.
