The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars got together for a physical and ugly flag-filled divisional matchup on Sunday, and likely a game many will want to forget. The Jaguars pulled out a dominating 25-3 victory, leaving the Titans again searching for answers.

Throughout the game, tempers flared, and both teams extended play beyond the whistle. One of the ugliest moments came in the second half when Titans running back Julius Chestnut and Jaguars punter Logan Cooke squared off after a Chimere Dike punt return.

Not only did the altercation draw flags and ejections, but it also allegedly drew on-field death threats.

Eventually, the officials would hand out a pair of unnecessary roughness penalties to both teams. Cooke and long snapper Ross Matiscik for the Jaguars, and Chestnut safety Mike Brown for the Titans, with Brown being ejected for his actions. If the offsetting penalties weren’t bad enough, Chestnut claims that Brown took the actions to another level.

"I was just trying to play hard, and he came up to me and said he was going to kill me," Chestnut said, via ESPN. "So I don't know what made him do that."

Cooke does play physically and with an edge, and this was not the first time in the game that the Jaguars’ punter had words for someone, sounding off on an official after a first-half punt. Unfortunately, neither Chestnut nor the Titans got any explanation on what set Cooke off during or after the game.

Cooke’s only statement after the game was that Chestnut got the better of him in an "eventful" game.

Divisional matchups are always emotional and physical contests, and this battle between the Titans and Jaguars was no different. However, even in jest, death threats and unsportsmanlike behavior are uncalled for.

Per the ESPN report, neither Cooke nor the Jaguars has commented on the incident.
