With the Golden State Warriors' focus being firmly set on contending for another championship during the final years of Stephen Curry's career, there's always a chance that Mike Dunleavy Jr. will enter the trade market. Jonathan Kuminga is arguably the franchise's most tradable player, especially after his drawn-out contract negotiations during the summer.

In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Zach Buckley proposed a trade package that would swap Kuminga, along with some additional players, for Michael Porter Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets. Porter is having a strong debut season for the Nets, averaging 24.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He's shooting 48.3% from the field and 36.2% from deep.

The trade proposal looks like this:

Nets Get: Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, a 2026 first-round draft pick (top-four protected) and a 2028 pick swap.

Warriors Get: Michael Porter Jr.

"Porter's shot-making could be a godsend for Golden State, which has struggled to find consistent scoring around Stephen Curry. And while Porter is arguably overpaid ($38.3 million this season), the Warriors might be willing to stomach that blow since his contract will expire at the same time when Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green all exhaust their current deals (2027)," Buckley wrote.

Porter Jr. currently has two years left on his $150 million contract. He's set to earn $38.3 million this season and $40.8 million next season. Adding another high-value contract to the Warriors' cap sheet is far from ideal. However, if his addition helps get the franchise closer to another championship, the trade could be a dice roll worth taking.

Of course, this trade is nothing more than a hypothetical, but it's interesting to see what options a Kuminga trade package could produce.
