Since then, speculation has only continued to grow, with reports from Brazil even suggesting that the Red Devils are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Gomes in two months’ time.

Such claims have seemingly been verified by another Brazilian outlet, Ge Globo, which claims a transfer could be fully agreed ‘by the end of the year’.
It’s thought Wolves value their midfield talisman in the region of £44 million, meaning they stand to make a substantial profit on the £15 million they shelled out for him when signing the then-21-year-old from Flamengo in 2021.
