The win elevated the Steelers to 4-1 amid the Baltimore Ravens dealing with Lamar Jackson's hamstring injury and the Cincinnati Bengals playing without Joe Burrow.
However, the Steelers dropped to 6-6 following a 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills in front of 66,068 fans at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday. After taking a 7-3 lead into halftime, Pittsburgh squandered an opportunity to take the lead in the AFC North after the Ravens lost to the Bengals on Thursday night.

It didn't help matters that quarterback Aaron Rodgers had to briefly exit the game with an injury in the third quarter that came on a strip sack caused by Joey Bosa that was returned for a touchdown by cornerback Christian Benford for a Bills touchdown.

Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph threw an untimely interception on the next drive and finished the game 0-for-3 passing.
The Steelers offense mustered only 166 total yards in the loss.
Near the end of the game, Steelers fans chanted for head coach Mike Tomlin to be fired.
"Fire Tomlin," could be heard chanted, via a video posted on X by @SirSimon43.

Some Steelers fans on social media agreed.
"Fire Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith right now. Horrible showing once again by the Steelers," wrote a fan.
"This team stinks and it starts from the top. Rooney needs to make the tough decision and fire Tomlin. Time to move on, time for some fresh blood. Clean house and rebuild. We have plenty of good picks to rebuild from but if we don’t start fresh it won’t be good," argued another.
Tomlin, 53, is 189-113 during his 19 seasons with Pittsburgh. The Steelers have not won more than 10 games since 2020. Pittsburgh has not won a playoff game since 2016.
The Steelers had high expectations to compete for a Super Bowl after making the playoffs two years in a row and bringing in Rodgers during the offseason.
Following Sunday's loss, Pittsburgh is in ninth place in the AFC, but tied with the Ravens for first place in the AFC North.
