The Washington Commanders are navigating their third-straight game without the services of quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 13.

Daniels sustained a dislocated elbow in the Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks that has kept him out of action ever since.

While it was initially feared Daniels might have a season-ending injury, it turns out that is not the case and instead the expectation is the second-year signal-caller will play again this season.

But when will that happen? Here's what we know.

When is Jayden Daniels coming back?

Based on the fact that Daniels wasn't placed on injured reserve, it's clear Washington thinks he can make it back after missing three games.

Of course, Daniels will miss a third consecutive contest on Sunday.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Daniels "has a chance" to play in Week 14, so we could see him on the field next Sunday.

"My understanding is at least he has a chance of playing," Rapoport said of Week 14. "No one has said firmly about whether he is going to be out there, but he does have a chance to get cleared four weeks from the injury."

There is going to be plenty of debate about bringing Daniels back when the Commanders' season is all but officially over.

However, there has been no indication from anyone in Washington that Daniels isn't going to return if he's healthy. Even Daniels has said he plans on playing.

"If I'm out there, man, I'm going to give it my all," Daniels told reporters. "You want to go out there and play, as a competitor. And that's who I am."

If Daniels does indeed return next week, he'll draw a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings' talented defense.

If Daniels doesn't play, Marcus Mariota will get another start for Washington.
